The science of recovery from addiction (alcohol/substance use disorder) is thee focus of Recovery Medicine Radio. Dr. Ray Baker and producer/engineer Joe C interview leaders in research, treatment and wellness and the various systems within a Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) continuum model. ROSC embraces all existing systems of care including harm reduction, detox, treatment, mental health, peer-to-peer community groups, research, therapy and community resources. ROSC moves beyond treating alcohol and other drug use disorder with acute care management and expands to include assertive linkages to therapy, peers, family supports, allies and other community based resources that enrich recovery capital. Each podcast will be 20-25 minutes with practitioners working within the ROSC continuum. Where possible, we will ask guests to prepare a paper on an agreed upon topic and during the podcast we will ask questions pertaining to their paper and area of expertise.
